While I wasn't a big fan of the vaccines, I never understood why people were trying to get religious exemptions for the shot. Not sure that there's a verse in the or that says "thou shalt not take vaccines" lol

@realcaseyrollins
They were looking for any loophole that they could find to not get it.
The real question is why did they need to get any kind of exemption to refuse an experimental (or any) vaccine?

@realcaseyrollins

Probably because they felt they had a right to choose for themselves and were willing to try any angle they could to make that happen.

I highly doubt anyone thought it was truely a religious requirement of their religion.

Of course you shouldn’t expect to see terms like MRNA in a millennia old document. Most of the Christian exemptions were based on the use of things like aborted fetuses in the development.

Of course under scrutiny their argument would likely fall apart based on other medical products they have used. But, at least in theory, one could make the case of one had a history of doing the research on medical products and refusing any that were developed similarly.

That's why I went straight to the fact that it used technology, as that's basically the only thing setting it apart from other vaccines beyond a rushed/accelerated development cycle.
