@Marbleturtle Hmm...I'd like to hear an example. I don't like much early 2000s soundtracks, although the oddly specific style tends to be relegated to intro music (two examples of this are ' theme in S01 and 's theme in S01). But the composition during the episode is a lot better, we don't have gimmicky songs that are trying to loudly tell us what we're seeing with our own eyes.

I don't need "let it snow" playing to know that it's snowing in the episode, I don't need "I will always love you" playing to know that a character is in love, I don't need "under pressure" playing to know that a character is under pressure, etc.

If you need a song to tell the audience what you're trying to convey, you're not conveying it well at worst, or you're being annoying and redundant at best
