I still find an odd choice for to choose to house his successor except for the money involved

@jlcrawf The main front is that just isn't the type of platform that's natively designed to platform such a show.

It is well-designed for clips of content to go viral though, so maybe that's where 's head is at?

@realcaseyrollins
I think that he is looking at Matt Walsh doing the same thing and talking to Elon who wants twitter to move that direction.

@jlcrawf Oh wow...I don't follow so I didn't know that did this.

Welp, there isn't even a comments section, so this objectively sucks imho

@realcaseyrollins it may be the main alternative due to his contract…or other even far right news groups told him no. In theory he could get a massive audience there….but he’s somewhat parachuting onto the Twitanic as Musk steers towards the ice.

@ppb1701 I actually suspect that could potentially save , at least from a MAU standpoint, if people tune in consistently to watch his show. After all, there are plenty of places that offer freer speech than right now: the , , , not to mention , , and others (mostly because their claims to free speech tend to be dubious at best). By bringing the successor to to , might retain more right wing users.

My point really is that while bringing his show to brings tons of value to , I don't see how it brings value to at all, especially when they don't have the type of infrastructure to handle his type of show AFAIK. is built for this type of this; is not.

@realcaseyrollins On infrastructure….I imagine it’ll crash it and take twitter down….assuming his audience largely shows. Like him or not, he did have a popular show on Fox News. Probably be like TWD or GoT premiere/finales airing taking their network streaming service to the ir knees on overloaded users.

@ppb1701 Someone brought this to my attention, apparently did the same thing

I didn't hear about it, so I assume there were issues. Granted, I'm expecting 's show to net at least ten times 's audiences though, so we'll see.

I'm not sure if is using their backend for their Broadcasts feature, but I assume that they are. If so, that should isolate any issues they have to just the Broadcasts feature and not affect the rest of the service (similar to how hosts their videos with , so they handle all strain and not itself).
